Holding a marble up to her eye, Edward tried to see through it, but she didn't know what she was looking for. Was it supposed to swirl or twinkle or blink? How did someone know if they were the good marbles or the bad ones? If they were good marbles, maybe Edward could just play with them and everything would be okay?
