The response is satisfactory to say the least, if unsurprising. Eames is a confident man, especially where his former profession is concerned, and she's certainly interesting, but not so difficult to read, at least on that level. (It leaves him wondering about specifics, to be sure, but he isn't looking for an advantage, here. If anything, it could be more fun to let it play out, see what she reveals on her own and what he can piece together that way. It shouldn't be a game, but oh, it is, and the very best kind of one.) He's mock-thoughtful for a moment as he looks at his cards again, as if needing a reminder of what they are, and then he slides forward a few of his own paper poker chips in turn.
"A woman after my own heart," he says, smiling again, then, as he inclines his head to the side. It doesn't escape his notice that all of his descriptors could apply to himself and his line of work as well, a thought which only heightens his curiosity, makes him consider that maybe she, too, handles the same sort of under the table dealings that he did. It's worth making note of, at least. "It's a useful thing, I'd say."
