How Faye was supposed to explain this, she had no idea. She licked her lips, pressing her fingers there, as though she might be able to wait out the perfect phrasing, something that would help Edward understand in the least amount of time possible without seeming like all Faye wanted to do was brush the matter aside. (Even if, on some level, that was true.)
