Pulling herself up to a seated position, Faye purses her lips, rolling her shoulders to rid herself of a knot that's formed over the course of spending half the day on her side. "Well, I haven't exactly been faced with that many boners before you to kill, but I'm pretty sure that universal law hasn't gone away in my time," Faye quips with a faint smile, fingers weaving into the hair at the nape of her neck and giving it a soft tug.
Releasing the hold a few seconds later, she rests both hands in her palm. She hasn't touched her stomach once since finding out her news; she's not sure she wants to, even now.
She's thought for days about how to break the news. If she should make a joke, talk about how they forgo protection so often that this was bound to happen, ask if this was his way of ensuring that she stay around, but everything feels off on her tongue, and she shakes her head once, deciding not to waste their time.
"Dean, I'm pregnant," she says, lips pulling thin to match the knit of her brow.
