Faye, for her own part, didn't have a ridiculous amount of pride to go around. She was never ashamed of herself, precisely, but pride was something that a bounty hunter of her sort, the sort who went for money rather than either style or vigilantism, couldn't spare. That said, the line between pride and confidence was fine, and always a matter of how far one was willing to compromise. Perhaps she was just quick to adapt. She flipped the three cards up then, easily, by slipping her fingernail under each.
